Join us for winter at Whitecap’s backcountry lodge.
The beautiful McGillivray Pass Lodge is Whitecap’s flagship base of operations. It’s also one of the oldest backcountry lodges in BC that was founded by a group of skiing enthusiasts in the early 1970s.
McGillivray Pass Lodge offers the best of the British Columbian backcountry, but can be easily reached by Lower Mainlanders and international clientele arriving at Vancouver International Airport. The lodge is accessed by a short helicopter flight from Pemberton and is the closest all inclusive backcountry adventure lodge to Vancouver. All trips include delicious mountain meals, accommodation and expert guiding by ACMG-certified professionals.
The lodge lies in the sweet spot between the coast and the interior, making it perfectly situated to bear the brunt of snow loaded storms as they move inland from the Pacific Ocean to the Coastal Range. This results in snow that is a little cooler and drier than that slightly closer to the coast.
Those who have already tasted the nectar of alpine bowls, steep chutes, and sublime tree skiing tend to become repeat customers. Those who haven’t yet visited McGillivray Pass, have it firmly at the top of their bucket list of ski adventures.
