Arrive By Helicopter
Your adventure will begin with a Blackcomb helicopter transfer the Pemberton airport or our summer heli staging area. This short flight will kick off your experience by seeing the Coast Mountains in the air. From this perspective you can see just how remote our mountain lodge is.
Start Your Day with a Delicious Breakfast
Mornings at our lodge start with a coffee and a cold breakfast consisting of cereals, granola, yogurt, and fruit salad at 7:45 am. A hot breakfast is served at 8:15 am, ranging from hot muffins and egg sandwiches to pancakes and bacon or breakfast burritos.
Fuel Up for the Day
We create personal sandwiches that are served for lunch. Guests build their snack packs from our diverse assortment of cookies, candy, fruits, chocolate, trail mix, and dried fruit. There are treats for everyone!
Expert Guides Lead the Way
Our hikes depart between 9 and 9:30 am. We split the groups between two guides to allow for various pacing and objectives each day. A typical day can range from slower hikes with an early group return to a full day from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
Explore Diverse Terrain and Discover Historical Relics
Our hikes cover varying distances and objectives. From bagging peaks and scrambling on ridges to finding beautiful alpine meadows to nap among the flowers. We also discover historical relics from the prospecting, outfitting, and mining history in the region.
Wildlife and Flora Highlights
Our lodge is in a significant wildlife corridor, with abundant animal sightings and birding opportunities. We educate guests on proper etiquette to maintain appropriate relations with wildlife. As flora and fauna experts, our guides highlight plants such as paintbrush, valerian, monkey flower, heart-shaped arnica, mountain aster, lupine, mountain heather, and false hellebore.
Enjoy Après and Sunset Views
Hikes are capped off with appetizers served in the living room in the lodge or outside on our covered deck. Relax in Adirondack chairs and watch the sunset at the head of the valley. After moving inside, dive into our eclectic vinyl record collection and create the evening vibe. Sit back and relax while our chef prepares dinner.
