A True Powder Highway

Experience Japow by van! This is the ultimate Japanese ski experience. We will do a split week of ski touring around two of Japan’s best ski towns, Hakuba and Myoko. The trip will kick off with three days in Hakuba, exploring some of the best (and deepest) resort-accessed ski touring in the world and then we’ll hit the road to Myoko. Myoko is a lesser-known area in the Nagano region that offers up arguably some of the best snow and authentic Japanese culture.

Highlights: Deep powder, onsens, food, culture.

This trip has room for 6 guests.

Japow by van! The ultimate ski experience through the Japanese Alps.

Our trips to Japan are built for intermediate to advanced skiers with moderate to good fitness. We will be ski touring and skiing deep snow for seven days, meaning your legs will feel it!

Basic backcountry safety skills are required. We will review avalanche skills on the first day of the trip.

Your trip will be led by a certified U.I.A.G.M / A.C.M.G mountain guide with a vast knowledge of the terrain and snowpack. Breakfast, lunches and your accommodation are all included in the cost of your trip. We are also happy to provide help organizing transport to and from the airport in Japan.

Dinners are not included so we can try different restaurants each night and you can experience all of the Japanese cuisine your heart desires!

We will stay at the Morino Lodge in both Hakuba and Myoko.

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase trip cancellation insurance and most importantly trip medical and evacuation insurance.

We also do recommend that all guests purchase medical insurance and evacuation insurance if you
do not already have a policy. The specific is evacuation and repatriation insurance coverage, most travel policies do not cover this, please check with your provider to see if you are covered. If you are injured while skiing in Japan and need to be evacuated to a higher level of care, the evacuation expense is to be covered by the injured party. Basic travel insurance does not cover this and we want to ensure that you are adequately protected in the event of an injury.

We highly recommend our insurance partner for our international insurance
needs. They provide comprehensive medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage. Please go to ourWhitecap link here read through the information and details and lock in a policy that works for you. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
