Skiing & Riding. We Live This. Everyday.

A typical Whitecap day is anything but typical. We do, however, set off on our daily adventures in much the same way. And we always guarantee that at the end of each day everyone is rewarded with feelings of fulfilment and gratification. Depending on the type of tour program, we average between 1000 to 2300m (3280 - 7550 ft) each day. Below is a typical itinerary of the Whitecap experience.

And So it Begins. Your Arrival at Pemberton, BC.

The Whitecap experience begins at the Pemberton Airport, 3km east of Pemberton, BC off Hwy 99. Guests arrive early to allow time to sign required documentation, and receive a safety helicopter briefing. Guests are requested to arrive at the airport, dressed ready to go skiing or snowboarding. This includes appropriate outdoor ski clothing, ski or snowboard boots. The helicopter transfer is awesome!

Your New Home. The McGillivray Pass Lodge.

When Whitecap guests arrive at the McGillivray Pass Lodge, everyone is amazed and stoked at the discovery of their new home. The McGillivray Pass Lodge is truly magnificent. On arrival, a Whitecap host will greet, welcome, and assist guests. We start with a welcome orientation and safety briefing. Then it's off touring, skiing and riding. After an amazing day, it's time to enjoy fabulous food and drink.

A Good Hearty Breakfast. And 'Ronnie's Coffee'.

A typical Whitecap morning begins with a hearty breakfast including a cup of world renowned “Ronnie’s Coffee”. It's also a great time to get to know your group. With open glades, high alpine summits, or glaciers surrounding the lodge, the choices are seemingly endless. Whitecap guides make potential routes and run decisions based on groups fitness, ability level, including snow and weather conditions.

Breathtaking Panoramics. Untracked Runs.

Every day at Whitecap is different. An ‘easy day’ will include 1-2 runs close to home (450-700m/1500-2000 ft) followed by lunch at the lodge, or a cross-country ski in the valley. A ‘large day’ includes various high alpine circuits up to 1500-3000m/6000-10,000 ft of skiing and snowboarding, with lunch on the go. We can double this experience with the request of a heli-assisted day. See programs here.

Our Après Ski. The Best End to an Epic Day.

At Whitecap, we ensure the day ends in the same great way that it started… with delicious food. Aprés is a big part of the experience at Whitecap. Upon the arrival to McGillivray Pass Lodge, guests are greeted to delicious après ski snacks, including your favourite warm or 'cold' beverage. Enjoy a hot shower or sauna before dinner, or just hit the sofa for more conversation with friends, old and new.

Conquering mountains, Aprés, sauna and a hot shower. You've worked up a big appetite! Family-style dinner at Whitecap is a special time to continue to share in lively conversation and indulge in some more great food. Earl Grey, Guinness, and Star Gazing.

After a family-style dinner, Whitecap guests can enjoy a cup of tea or a pint of Guinness, share more stories, and settle down for a night of guaranteed deep sleep. Clear evenings provide the sighting of the most stars you'll probably ever see. A night of snowfall will feel like McGillivray Pass Lodge is the most remote cabin in the world, and it just might be. The best part is we all get up to do it again the next day!
