Whitecap. Programs & Abilities.

Whitecap manages groups in a variety of ways. McGillivray Pass Lodge has 2 or 3 experienced and internationally certified Mountain Guides on staff at all times. This allows Whitecap the flexibility to accommodate and suit each of our guest's different terrain interests and athletic pace. Typically, we run 2 separate groups of guests each day. Alternatively both groups can be either 'Moderate' or 'Aggressively paced'. The Moderate paced Group will ski up to 1500m/5000ft/ day, whereas the 'Aggressively paced' group will ski up to 3000m/10,000ft/day.

Whitecap. Group Input & Management.

At the beginning of each day, Whitecap Mountain Guides will make suggestions and describe touring options to allow guests to provide their own input and contribute to decisions about what is both achievable, and appropriate. We'll also provide options for a shorter ski or snowboard day, as well as an option to get back to the lodge early if guests prefer. It is also not uncommon for us to run one large group, or even up to 3 larger groups.

We realize that every group's needs and expectations are different. Whitecap Mountain Guides always make final decisions based on each groups overall fitness and ability level, as well as snow and weather conditions. Our goal is to ensure the Whitecap experience is as rewarding as possible of all our guests, no matter their ability level.
