Tour Bookings, Cancellations, and Payment
Whitecap welcomes all guests regardless of ability. Whether you’re new to the backcountry or a seasoned pro with your sights on long days and aggressive skiing, we have a program for you. We recommend that participants have a good overall fitness level and be a confident skier with some experience off-piste skiing, or more rugged ski resort runs. In addition, we welcome non-skiers or those just looking to relax, visit and enjoy the McGillivray Pass Lodge and valley.
Booking is Easy.
1. Once you select a Program, Whitecap and Whitecap International suggests that you book, as soon as possible, to secure your space.
2. We require a deposit of 50% of the program fee, along with your registration form in order to confirm your booking. Telephone bookings require a deposit by credit card or personal cheque.
3. After you receive our confirmation. we ask that you send us full payment no later than 10 weeks prior to the program starting date.
4. If full payment is not received 10 weeks prior to the starting date of your program with Whitecap, we reserve the right to forfeit your full deposit and sell your spot to the next person on the waiting list.
Before departing for McGillivray Pass Lodge or off-site destination, Whitecap and Whitecap International guests will be asked to read and sign the RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. Cancellations – Extremely Important. Must Read!
Whitecap and Whitecap International cannot make exceptions to thesecancellation policies for any reason, including personal emergencies and weather. There is no refund for leaving early or arriving late. All cancellations must be received in writing. If a notice is received more than10 weeks prior to the starting date you have two options:
a) We are happy to rebook your reservation if you find an alternative date of the same season at Whitecap and McGillivray Pass Lodge, or Whitecap International.
b) We provide a full refund, less a $400 administration fee
If notice is received less than 10 weeks prior to the starting date, no money will be refunded.

Trip Cancellation Insurance / Evacuation Insurance
Whitecap and Whitecap International recommends that you purchase a cancellation insurance policy such as Trip Cancellation Insurance and Medical and Evacuation Insurance through your provider. This insurance must be purchased when booking your program with Whitecap and Whitecap International. We also suggest that you have adequate medical and life insurance. This type of coverage is available through most travel agencies, and provincial and state automobile travel associations, including the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) in British Columbia.
In the event of necessary evacuation due to injury the guest is entirely responsible for the cost of the evacuation even if the guest does not have evacuation insurance.
